Today is a hard day. It’s a hard day for all of us in the EPCSOA. It’s an even harder day for Deputy Herrera’s family left behind. We lost our hero 2 years ago today. We honored you today and ensured that your memory will carry on long after we’re gone. Thank you for serving and protecting our community. Rest in paradise Deputy Peter J. Herrera #4928. End of Watch March 24th 2019.
The EPCSOA assisted CIS Coordinator Gabriela Gallegos and Ricardo Estrada Middle School by purchasing a freezer to be used for the school and community.
Thank you so much for your generous donation to Communities in Schools for Ricardo Estrada Middle School.
With your help, we will be able to provide food assistance to our families in the community who are in need of this type of support. Families will be able to come in and shop around in our mini-market and grab not only food, but also items such as toiletries, diapers, wipes and much more.
This project will also help students who are in need of volunteer hours for school and will provide them with the opportunity to learn how to conduct an intake, sharpen up their customer service skills, and become comfortable working in a collaborative environment.
Deputy Omar Gonzalez and the El Paso County Sheriff's Officers Association, as you can see, your contribution is very important to our most important people, the community we serve. It’s important to me, too. Your ongoing commitment to our kids and families truly means the world, and we really couldn’t have done this without you, thank you truly for making this vision a reality!
