On behalf of all the brothers and sisters with the El Paso County Sheriff's Officers Association, we give our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Deputy Peter Herrera. We are grieving with you. We are standing with you. We have lost one of our own. We are honored and fortunate to have counted him among our ranks. He was an exceptional officer and an exceptional man with a great heart. He was a prime example of what it means for a person to put public service above themselves. He gave his life protecting and serving this community. That makes him a hero to us all. As we struggle to make sense of what happened and why it happened, just know that we are all standing together. Even as we mourn our loss, we will celebrate the life of our friend, our fellow officer, and our hero. Pete Faraone EPCSOA President Due to the unfortunate passing of Deputy Peter Herrera, we are canceling the Members Meeting scheduled for this Wednesday the 27th to dedicate the time, efforts, and resources of the Executive Board to our fallen brothers family. We will continually update the Association on his arrangements.
One of our brothers was shot last night in the San Elizario area. 2 suspects, both in custody. The Deputy will have a very long road ahead of him but is expected to recover. Please pray for him, his family and partners.
Please help us with a contribution to assist him and his family through these hard times. https://www.gofundme.com/4928-epcsoa-brother-in-need |
