Thank You to Detention Officers from the Jail Annex who spread some Easter cheer by hiding eggs, distributing baskets, and playing games with children from the Upbringing Foster School. The El Paso Sheriff's Officers Association hosted a candlelight vigil for our fallen brother Deputy Peter Herrera. 3-27-19 On behalf of all the brothers and sisters with the El Paso County Sheriff's Officers Association, we give our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Deputy Peter Herrera. We are grieving with you. We are standing with you. We have lost one of our own. We are honored and fortunate to have counted him among our ranks. He was an exceptional officer and an exceptional man with a great heart. He was a prime example of what it means for a person to put public service above themselves. He gave his life protecting and serving this community. That makes him a hero to us all. As we struggle to make sense of what happened and why it happened, just know that we are all standing together. Even as we mourn our loss, we will celebrate the life of our friend, our fellow officer, and our hero. Pete Faraone EPCSOA President Due to the unfortunate passing of Deputy Peter Herrera, we are canceling the Members Meeting scheduled for this Wednesday the 27th to dedicate the time, efforts, and resources of the Executive Board to our fallen brothers family. We will continually update the Association on his arrangements.
One of our brothers was shot last night in the San Elizario area. 2 suspects, both in custody. The Deputy will have a very long road ahead of him but is expected to recover. Please pray for him, his family and partners.
Please help us with a contribution to assist him and his family through these hard times. https://www.gofundme.com/4928-epcsoa-brother-in-need The El Paso County Sheriff's Officers Association celebrated Officer Appreciation with a cookout at the Annex this past Sunday. Several Deputies from Montana and other stations attended also. We would like to show appreciation for all Officers that are working Weekends, Holidays, and missing family events. If we missed your shift, we'll see you soon! Thanks!!! Over the holiday season the El Paso County Sheriff's Officers Association was happy to be a part of your Holiday shift parties. Several shifts exchanged gifts and also hosted raffles! 2018 was a great year, we look forward to serving you in 2019! Loren DominguezMy mother was recently diagnosed with Stage IV liver cancer. As her daughter, I have tried to find alternate assistance to alleviate her pain and cancer growth, since her Doctors are not optimistic and have suspended treatments. I’m reaching out to ask for your help in helping my mother outlast this disease as much as she can. Every donation is very much appreciated and on behalf of my family and myself we thank you!
