This past Monday, Shift A / Team 1 from the Annex put smiles on some children's faces at the local Women's Shelter. They passed out over 25 gifts and left some for children who would be back at the shelter later that night. This shelter facilitates mothers and their children who come from broken homes and are trying to get back on their feet. Way to go guys! Thank You for representing your badge with pride!! **The facility is at a secure location and could not be disclosed

Shift B / Team 2 at the Jail Annex spread some Holiday cheer at a local Transitional Foster Care Center this past Friday. These children are from all over the world including Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, etc. This facility is always in need of help and is always taking donations of clothes, food, & school supplies. Thank you to Officer E. Rios (aka Old St. Nick) and his wife Sonia for making contact and arrangements, and to Officers A. Ortega & R. Oliva for arranging the event. Also, a big thanks goes to Deputy O. Gonzalez for showing up to entertain the children. Several of the Officers, who had just worked a 12hr shift, were there to pass gifts and goodies, but the entire shift donated money and over 30 gifts to be able to put a smile on those children's faces. These kids were very thankful and even had songs to share. Thank you for your generosity and representing the Sheriff's Office with Pride! *The location of the facility and the anonymity of the children is guarded for safety The El Paso County Sheriff's Officers Association would like to thank all the members and their families who attended our Annual Awards and Recognition Banquet.
